Editorial Policy

Tecno Blocks publishes reporting, not opinion. This page sets out the standards every article is held to before it goes live and after.

What we publish

Every article describes something that was actually done, the cost of doing it, and what was measured afterwards. If a claim cannot be supported with a number, a source or a documented observation, it is cut before publication.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made by the editorial team alone. Advertisers, sponsors and partners have no influence over what we cover, how we cover it or when it runs. No article is written to support a commercial relationship.

Sourcing

• Numbers are sourced to the system or study they came from. Where we cannot name the source, we say so and explain why.
• Quotations are checked with the person quoted where they are identifiable.
• We link to primary sources in preference to secondary coverage.

Anonymity

Some articles describe companies or teams without naming them, because the people involved shared numbers on that condition. In those cases the numbers are real and have been seen by an editor.

Updates

When evidence changes, we update the article and date the revision. Substantive changes are noted at the top of the piece. We do not silently rewrite published work.

Conflicts of interest

Contributors declare any financial interest in the companies or products discussed. Where a conflict exists, it is disclosed in the article or the piece is reassigned.
